I'm a writer based in Portland, Oregon. I mostly write for Mental Floss magazine (and their website), though I recently had a story on This American Life, and had a cover story last year in The Portland Mercury.

The hair-do's on you two make me feel, like, awwwww and at the same time, like, wtf?
What's on the necklace?
The necklace is a little pseudo-Mayan thing I got in Miami. It had little blue stones around a polished half-sphere of metal (tin, maybe?) with vague ethnic imprints. It was neat.
