Well, my first work in the print version of mental_floss arrived through the mail slot today, and I'm all up in the Contributors section! This is also the week I started blogging for the web site -- the first of many weeks, hopefully. Soon I shall be doing mental_floss's dishes and perhaps I can go over and water their plants while they're on vacation...as long as I get a byline, I'm there. Anyway, in the meantime you can view my first week's blog posts:
- Advertising, remixed
- Nerdcore Hip Hop Could Reign Supreme
- Atari 2600 Cartridge Source Code as Art
- X Is the New Y
- Free Stuff on the iTunes Store
UPDATE - here's the second week's worth of blogging:
- Terminator: Do Robots Think in Apple II Source Code?
- Spamusement: Poorly-drawn cartoons inspired by actual spam subject lines!
- Visualizing the Blog "Echo Chamber"
- What's That Book?
- Computer-Generated Zeppelin
As you can see, I'm covering technology, nerd culture, that sort of thing. This month's print magazine contains some of my work in the Scatterbrained section (the HAIR bit), and upcoming issues will feature additional Scatterbrainification, on subjects I mustn't divulge.
Those wishing to drop me a line or hoping to read entertaining, cryptic comments made by my pseudonymous friends may enjoy the newly fabulized Chris Higgins Myspace page. Friendship available by request.
As a professional typist, it's time for you to change your slogan.
